Sturminster Newton,twinned with Montebourg, is a North Dorset Market Town lying in the heart of the beautiful Blackmore Vale. It is within easy reach of Blandford Forum, Shaftesbury, Sherborne, Poole and Bournemouth. This rich agricultural area led Thomas Hardy to call it “The Vale of a Hundred Dairies” and today agriculture is still a very important activity.
