Stur Young People fund raise for installation of a Defibrillator

SturYouth DofE participants completing their Community Section of the award are to launch a crowdfunding appeal on 1st June.  After a successful bid to adopt the BY telephone box at the top of Bath Road, the young people are now looking to raise £2,500 to the cost of installing a defibrillator and to purchase a Call Push Rescue Training Kit.  This will enable the DofE teams to offer free First Aid, CPR and defibrillator training to local community groups, youth groups and members of the public.

The pre-launch event begin on Saturday 26th May with a quiz night at the Sturminster Newton Royal British Legion.  Entry is £2 per person with teams of up to 6 people – no booking necessary just come along on the night.  Registration is at 6.30pm, the quiz starts at 7pm.

This is followed on sunday 27th May with the Giant Bath Road yard sale and car boot sale:  cars £5 per pitch.  Sellers 9am, buyers 10am.
