The Sturminster Newton Big Lunch 2016

The fourth Big Lunch takes place once again in the Railway Gardens on Sunday 5th June in co-operation with The Exchange Real Ale & Cider Festival, Producers’ Market and Crafts at The Exchange, to create a very special Sturminster Newton Weekend (3rd-5th June).

All the usual games and activities will be there, built and supervised by members of Sturminster Newton Rotary, and, of course, family favourite, Camilla the Cow, courtesy of Dikes of Stalbridge.  The very popular face painting will again be provided by Home Start North Dorset and the Treasure Hunt will be organised by the Mothers Union.

The Sturminster Newton Women’s Institute will be repeating the serving of high tea and Rotary will be scooping up the ice cream (generously supplied by Southern Co-operative) from their purpose made cart.  Both are provided free of charge as emphasised in the slogan ‘Bring the kids and a picnic but leave your purse at home’.
